Video Test

Please let me know if this video is working for anyone. It's a preview of my Diplo interview (and a little goofy bit I'll probably leave out of the final cut anyway) for Radio Dingbat. I'm planning to start a video podcast style thing. It's in .m4v format which is the iPod Video format, if you have one please let me know if works or not. You ( Read more... )

I was curious if you ended up getting the interview or not. Awesome work man!

Yeah I got it in the end. It was a big of a saga to get it which I might post about later. While I love the Perth Festival the organisers can be a bit annoying. But hey I got it in the end, unlike the Ambar after party organised by Dave Miller that Perth Festival stomped on.

Stomped on huh? What happened to it exactly? I swang by to find nobody there even though the management said he was meant to be coming.

Well to start with, it wasn't the Perth Festival who brought him to Australia. It was another promoter from Melbourne (met him last night, qutie a nice guy). Also, Perth Festival only scheduled Diplo in for a 45 minute set starting at 9:15pm after Datarock and ending by 10:00pm when people can get in for free. So if you're a Diplo fan but not a Datarock, fan paying $30 for a short set kind of sucks. So Dave got in contact with the promoter who's brought him out to Australia and organises an after party at Ambar. Everyone's okay with it, Dave, Diplo, the promoter, Ambar. The gig is promoted by Dave but at the last minute Perth Festival find out about it. Apparently as part of the performer's contract with the festival they're not allowed to play anywhere else so they stomp that into the ground.

Diplo did in the end up playing a two hour set at the Verandah and anyone who came in after 10:00 would have got a great set. Also, if he had to head off to Ambar I probably wouldn't have gotten my interview.

Yes I do have a tripod! I won't be using mine tomorrow (saturday) since I'm working. What time do you need it for. Anyway, give me call (0403 414 822) tomorrow and we'll sort something out.
