I don't know the route, but I know Cwm Ogwen - walking holidays to Snowdonia were a regular feature of my teenage years, and I was back there last August. Is Cwm Bochlywd the one on the left of Glyder Fach, looking at it from Tryfan?
I hope the chin gets better - there seems to be a lot of this stuff about right now :-(

Above Cwm Bochclywd, Ogwen Valley. The route is called Great Gully, it is the gully that starts The Chasm Face, if you know it.
