my cat mindy has cancer. she only weighs 6 pounds now, but is full of energy and has a shining, beautiful black coat still. she's got a little stub of a tail cause it was infected when we found her and had to go. she's been one of my best friends ive ever had for over 16 years so far. she is the first thing that i ever noticed was alive. just ( Read more... )

sam she sounds like such a wonderful furry friend! i'm so sorry to hear such tragic news. not silly to care so much for a cat, not at all. my cat is my best friend-- she understands me more than most. you'll see ms mindy mitten velvet boyd again! i'm sure of it <333

i'm sorry about your kitty. i know you care a lot about your cats. i know what its like to lose an animal cause they are the best friends you'll ever find. but like your other friends said, its not the end. i'm sure you'll meet again.

i dont think its silly to care this much about a best friend at all. cat or human, a best friend is still a best friend. my soulmate is my cat zip, who at this very moment is sitting on my lap purring. i found her when i was 7, and since 1991 we have been best friends. like your cat, she has been here for me whenever i needed her and always let me know things were ok even if i thought they werent. i know how much a best friend means, and if theres anything i can do, although i dont know what it would be, i'll gladly do it. zip is 16, has a thyroid problem and her liver is slowly failing, but shes still full of energy (as long as she takes her medication to control it) and full of live and love to give. your cat mindy sounds like shes still doing ok, and thats what matters now. give her all the love you can and thats really tbe best you can do ( ... )
