Title: Finding Our Way Home

Movie Prompt: Free Willy
Pairing: Jared, Jensen (and Castiel)

Summary: Jared finds an old journal and documents his journey of friendship with a whale.
Notes: This project was so fun for me to do (which is why it's kinda late). I wasn't sure how I was going to do the story as an art project, so the idea of Jared creating a journal of his journey stuck to me. I love to read through those kinds of journals that have drawing and writing in it, so I tried to make mine just like it. ALL that writing is handwritten; I wanted to keep it real authentic-ha ha. I'm real proud of how it came out, especially since I've been in a real demoting art block for months now. But I think this project is getting me out of it.
It's best if you view the larger images, so it's easier to read (mistakes are all mine).

Other notes: I'll think you all figured it out, but the black writing belongs to Jared and the red handwriting is Jensen's.
I wanted this to be RPS, but I didn't know what to name the whale that wasn't Willy. 'Castiel' came up because when the movie describes Willy being captured and taken from his home, it reminded of Castiel from the show trying to get back home as he was shut out of heaven. So that's where that came from, and based on the journal, I hope the concept made sense to you.
Artist Technique: these were sketched on paper and painted in CS2. Many references were used for this project, from the movie to images of Jared and Jensen. Most of the images can be Googled. I also used information about whales from Marine Mammal books and websites. Also, Keiko was my wonderful model for Cas. J
