Jared had turned 17 when it all happened. He didn't know what triggered it. He went to school with Jensen his entire life after all. Why would now be suddenly different? Jared hated that feeling he got while looking at that Ackles kid. He was more turned on by him than most of the other girls at the school but that was just wrong. His stomach turned into knots. It was wrong by itself but having it be a preacher's kid made it even worse.
Jared studied Jensen from across the classroom. He was busy writing notes like Jared should have been doing. What changed about Jensen? What made him stand out all of a sudden? Why was he the only guy Jared was turned on by? He wasn't gay! Jared was sure of it. He checked out a nearby female and sucked in his breath sharply. Nope, definitely not gay. Than why did he get an even stronger feeling when he glanced at Jensen? He tensed when he saw Jensen lick his lips unconsciously, his head still bent down; still busy taking notes.
He cursed himself. Shit, he could not be getting turned on by Jensen Ackles, the reverend's son...he wasn't gay, he was....he was just getting over the break up with Sandy, that's all.
Sandy.
His face hardened as he thought of her. Their break up wasn't exactly a clean or nice break up. He wasn't even sure what happened. He guessed that they were both so wrapped up in their own lives that they didn't notice each other slipping away. That didn't mean that the break up didn't hurt, though, and that it was nice. Far from it.
He jumped when the bell rang. Quickly he got, in time to bump into Jensen.
"Sorry," he mumbled, blushing fiercely. Damn it, he didn't just blush! Not over Jensen. Did Jensen notice? Jared checked quickly. Nope, Jensen only smiled at the apology.
"No harm done," he told Jared, who nodded in relief.
"Hey," he finally worked up the courage to say, even though he wasn't sure what he wanted to say in the first place. Jensen paused and turned around.
"Yeah?" He asked with a smile. Damn it, that feeling appeared again. Did Jensen have to look so perfect all the time?
"Nothing." Jared had lost his nerve and he wasn't even sure why he started to talk at all.
