The board has never really done those things anyway. It seems to me that they are taking it further than is necessary. Of course people should own their projects, but it's gone way beyond that here in the JPD. The JPD board pretty much gave Richard Speck the ability to decide which ideas to pursue. And, he's been awfully slow getting AR/AO programming here. After watching that the past 8 years, I'm very reluctant to endorse the practice in the UUA.
