So what should I read this winter break? I need to find some good books to keep me entertained when I have nothing to do.

So there's this artist named Alison Mealy, who's creating really cool art using Unreal Tournament.
Here's a link to an interview with her; there are lots of cool pictures, and some interesting stuff about how she did it.

The other night, I went with Emily to see Ray LaMontagne at Town Hall. He really has an amazing blues/folk voice, and his live show is as powerful as his album tracks (which I actually checked out after the fact), if not moreso. So I was sitting in the waiting room at the hospital, listening to bad daytime TV (I couldn't see it cause my seat was directly below the TV set), when they started talking about "energy vampires". I contend that there is nothing better than the combination of modern art, techno music, ridiculous dancing, and hipsters who make you feel like your ridiculous dancing is alright.

First Friday party at the Guggenheim was awesome. That is all.
