You don't need to draw more. You don't need to write more. Neither of those things are productive for you. You won't be able to survive in the real world if you don't get a job. You won't be able to get a real self-sufficient job if you don't go back to college and get a degree, even an associate's from some local community college. I'm terribly sick of reading your LJ posts which are either cryptic, whiny, or about some new game you're playing. STOP playing online games, stop fooling yourself into thinking your art or your writing will get you anywhere. You are too old for this. You need to swallow your pride and go back to school so you can get a real job so you can get out of your parents' place for good.
Ya know, I don't tell you what to write in your LJ, so don't tell me what to write in mine. I don't tell you how to live your life, Carrie, so don't tell me how to live mine. I don't put a gun to your head to make you read my LJ. If you don't like it, don't read. Simple as that. So step off.
The 'real world' is overrated. I've see what living in the 'real world' does to people, and I don't want to be like everybody else. Something wrong with wanting something better than what everybody else has got? I don't think so.
First few posts after being away from LJ for months and you're already sick of what I write. As if your LJ is so much more better and profound than mine. Like I said, don't like, don't read. My LJ. I don't see your name on this blog, and it's not titled "For Carrie's reading pleasure". I'll write what I want to write. You don't have to read

Terribly sorry I'm the only one who reads this who cares enough to actually fucking say something about it. The only thing I don't like reading about this is how it's abundantly clear over and over again that you're not really doing anything to help yourself! Just because you're in the real world doesn't mean you have to be like everyone else. Feel free to pursue art as a hobby but I hope you don't seriously think you can actually make money off of your doodles. Unless I see some magnificent sculpture or painting you've had hidden off in your closet, nothing you do is going to make me think otherwise. Chasing what you want is one thing, but you need to have some kind of plan. Please be realistic about this! Try and find some other subject you're even remotely interested in - history, science, literature, ANYTHING - and get a real career in that. The whole comic thing is not going to work out for you. As happy as you may be doing it, one day you'll wake up with the realization that you've wasted your life on doodles and comics and then

Whoa, whoa, whoa. You make some good points Cari but tone down the insults and digs just a bit.
Just because you make some valid points though, doesn't mean S@m should give up on her dream. She just needs a solid base go start from and a good job and a place of her own will do it, like you said.
Should she get a good job? Yes. Should she go back to school? That's her call. But we should be helping her up and not hitting her back down. You say you're the only one who reads her journal so make it count and help her.
And no S@m, I haven't made my way over to Underdogs yet.
