Beautiful, and useful and inspiring all at once. As for names, you do know Damian O'Hare plays the guitar, right? Think of the fun you could have, plucking his strings. *fans self and indulges in evil visions* Felaine
*is jealous that you know how to play such a lovely instrument* *is also glad that you *are* able to play such a lovely instrument* :D
hmmm...as far as name ideas, I noticed in one of your other comments that you liked Harry, Renato, and Damian, and despite being a history nut myself, I would lean away from Harry because it's just doesn't seem...I don't know, refined? elegant? deep? enough for such a lovely instrument. Damian and Renato have a richer feel to them.
hmmm...I can't really think of any other suggestions...sorry. Congratulations though! :-)
Brandon is selling me on both his own name and the name Roe. *glares at instant messenger*
But truth told, Brandon has some solid arguments in favor of his name... Since the instrument is the color of brandy, I could shorten the name...
Johann has also come up as a suggestion... but it's too Saxony.
I'd name the instrument Ador, except that I'm always gigging with a guy with that name... So he would hear me call the instrument that-- and it is VERY apparent how much I love the instrument. I don't want anyone getting the wrong idea.
oh, brandy...that's interesting. :-) Ador is cool, but I see the problem with that one... Renian is kind of nifty, but a bit repetitive as far as vowel sounds... heh heh, so many options. I think you will know when you have found the right one. :-)
I'm actually leaning ever more closely to Damian *points to other comments*.
It fits the instrument... either way it's pronounced. (The rate this is going, it's going to have a full name... something typically Filipino like Damian Michael Bartolome/Yanit.)
I must consult with my friend Kelvin and my Uncle Pi (yes, nicknamed after the symbol...) this afternoon before I make any final decisions.
I think that my boy is going to fettered-down with at least three names as a result, though.
Wait... I'm remembering that Uncle Pi is probably playing Santa Cruz tonight. Which might mean that my boy won't have a name (and won't be baptized/blessed) for a whole week.

Though, Rocky might be a good name... after "Rocky the Rooster."
I can see it now...
friend: "So why did you name him Rocky?"
me: "I named him after a cock."

Perhaps a Damian/Renato hybrid? Renian? Damato?
*sigh*

This is getting out of hand.

I'd go for Brandon or Damian myself. By Damian, I mean the Filipino pronunciation= dah-mee-AHHHHN.
"Dami" for short. It fits with the cock thing. Daming... maraming... seksi!!!

But the Damian thing... I really like that too...
The fact that you're entirely too bastos for your own good notwithstanding.
Ay! Ng bangad bangad ti babae (sp?)!!!!
I swear... my Tagalog gets worse with the passage of time. One would think that I'm puti...

I might just call him Damo in the interim...
