Cooker buying

Sep 09, 2010 15:30

Why am I hovering and not hitting the buy button right now on a new cooker.

It's not the spending money that's bothering me, it's something to do with committment to having a new cooker when I've had the last one for 16 years. There's a weird taste about replacing it when it's not completely dead yet.

Oh it definitely wants to do that. The ignition doesn't work and at least 2 of the plastic covers for the nobs have fallen off. I'm surprised it lasted the previous 2 years.

hm. it's odd how inanimate objects that have been around for a while somehow become personalities. i've had similar hesitations in the past about musical instruments and model trains.

I'm not sure it has a personality, but I'm more a believer in not really replacing something until absolutely necessary.
