FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT: Thank you to everyone for putting up with my flailing and experimenting. I AM SUPER-GRATEFUL FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND PARTICIPATION. ;^;b
- Definitely I will need to fine-tune the timing of the clues/etc, especially re: exploring and my limited access at work vs when I get home. (I may make it a set thing, like, half an hour after the day post goes up, that is when you'll get your clue.) Also, establish in the recruitment that characters may not necessarily recognize it as a Wolf game initially, and make it more clear to begin with. As a storyteller, I like the dimension the extra confusion adds, especially for a horror/kill game, but as a GM, I don't want to make things unnecessarily difficult for people. :|a I AM OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS HERE.
- For the second game, possibly--twelve sheep, no wolves, but trying to find the three clues that the Medicine Seller needs? Then it's not really a wolf game any more, is it :|a IDK I think I could still swing it in that format, but suggestions are cool! (or, hm, maybe twelve sheep + the Medicine Seller + three clues, which would make it a game with sixteen entities involved, at least. Hm hm.) I'd probably also fine-tune the questionnare I had people fill out initially.
- Grab possibly a second co-shepherd so there's a triumvirate keeping an eye on things. Normally I would recruit the rest of the Hivemind and Devit, but schedules just did not work out this time around. Hopefully the end of the month will work better!
- Next game will be slated for an 8:30 - 9:30 pm PST, at this point in time. The earliest I can run anything would be 7; I get home anywhere between 6:30-6:45 pm PST, and if I don't eat before I do any sort of heavy duty thinking/planning/running of things I start blurring the ooc/ic line of wanting to kill things. :x
- Would people want to be able to fight more things for themselves at the end? I can easily set up other fights, and not just the mononoke end battle (which, by canon, would have to be dealt with by the Medicine Seller himself).
- ... possibly recruit an artist for next time. Mononoke is such a visual series, I feel like having art might be good. :|a Hmm hmm. or at least more colors. IDK MY BFF PHOTOSHOP??
Overall, while there were things I was happy with, I'd have to deem this experiment a failure. I'm sorry that this didn't really work for people. If someone else wants to run the end kill game for the month, they are welcome to have the slot. \o_O/
