The latest summer holidays adventures!

So here is the next installment of Sammah's summer holiday adventures!
Been pretty busy since my last post mainly with helping out in the Studio's canteen as they were shortstaffed last week for 3 days. Well, I thought the waitressing in the evenings was stressful, this was a different level! Firstly the early shift starts killed me as I have not seen the light of 6am for quite a long time; especially then having to get on a bike to ride to work!

So when I arrived got straight into work of serving the workers their breakfast of either bacon, sausage, egg-poached fried or scrambled, mushrooms, tomatoes, fried bread, hash browns and baked beans or toast. So just simply serving what they wanted onto a plate or making a sandwich of various foods. Some just wanted some toast, so had to make alot of toast. This is pretty simple but when the queue is huge and there's only two people serving it greats rather ahhh *runs frantically*. This carried for quite a while, then I was sent to clean up the plates and send them to washing up. Afterwards, it was mop the floor time! Apparently I didn't it too well but it's mopping you can't exactly not do it wrong. My feet by now were starting to hurt and was grateful I was allowed to go on lunch for 20mins ish. Then off to serve lunch which was surprisingly easy of jacket potatoes, and scampi (I think it was) with various other items of chips etc. Had a conversation with the guy I in my head named 'indecisive man' as he was swamped with the amount of choice so kept going to the different areas of sandwiches, deli, meals and not being able to choose. He was so cute =3. Once lunch was finished more cleaning was in place and packing away till grabbing my bike at 3 and going home!

Wednesday and Thursday was virtually the same apart from on Thursday I was shoved onto the deli at lunch for abit where the staff fills baguettes with various fillings that the customer wants. This involves using a knife and cutting bread which I am truly dreadful at so majorly sucked at doing this job. I was kindly sent back to my normal position which later when clearing the trays I got really emotional about it. Partly because the lady I was on the deli with kept asking if I was okay, this always makes things worse! So yeah that was rather embarrassing. On a positive note of Thursday: indecisive man came back at breakfast and we had another short chat, I don't need to go back!

The weekend consisted of going to bethhead's to talk travel insurance and having my haircut, so not overly exciting really!

Monday! In the morning I had an interview at Laura Ashley in Staines as they needed holiday staff. That went well mainly because I know a fair bit about the company from my mum. I got a phonecall later on to say I got it! yay!! I won't have much free time during the day now but it's money for uni and every little helps :) After some lunch my Mum kindly dropped me off in Egham where I was going to sit and watch the Call Me drama rehearsal as I won't see them before they leave.
This was highly enjoyable despite them being either tired, angry (mainly Sally) or just can't be bothered to do much. So I received many hugs or in David's case, a hug turned into leaning on me due to him wanting to go to sleep. As a way for them to get energy or something a long stick is used, dont know how or why, but it caused me much amusement fiddling with it and twirling. Additionally, Dominque's jars she has in her piece were laid out on the floor in a line. Balancing and walking across them became a popular activity amongst the group. I wish them lots of luck for their trip <3

Today was going to my nanny's in Poole to get my bday present! Well Bournemouth really, so after some lunch we went to Earnest Jones to purchase my Chamilia bracelet and charms, I will be receiving a few more beads and charms as part of my bday present from my mum. Then it was off to the sea for a walk and a paddle. Gotta love the sea!
