So to sum up this week it has been: drink, eating, work, crying and friends! In a more expanded form:
Went shopping with Hazel on Monday in Staines, originally it was a trip out to see Kasthur for coffee which we did. This being highly enjoyable as we haven't seen each other in ages so had a catch up for about 2 hours in Costa Coffee and in that time only bought one drink each. Kasthur didn't even finish her's! She is off to America (went on Wednesday) for a month to do work experience which will be really cool and beneficial for her :) Afterwards Hazel and me went mainly tights and underwear shopping which was enjoyable and got some good bargains! White lacy tights reduced from £6 to £3 in the sale, got to the till they were reduced further to £1.50!
In the evening we all went out to Slug and Lettuce for some food and drinks which was nice, ate far too much food seeing as I had a dinner before I left, then a plate full of wedges with chilli con carne on the top. They were so good though! After the bill was paid we headed over to the George for some cheap drinks and a chat. This resulted in Beth and I arguing over something and Rach documenting this by taking pictures of me pointing at her. Oh I will miss those pictures, we have so many!
Tuesday as spent with Lucy shopping for the little bits for uni, so glad she was there when getting stationary as I didn't think of getting pins and paperclips! Did some window shopping in Topshop where they had some cute jumpers but as Lucy discovered they were really weird shaped! So off to Primark for cheap clothes, but the stuff I thought to try on was either really odd shaped or just not that nice. Got something I intended to buy though, this being a small bag for my nights out. And a beret, don't need one now...but it will save me money in the future!
The evening was spent arguing with mum which meant I was going to get the bus to Staines to the travel crew goodbye drinks. But I missed it as it drove past when I just got out my house, so I walked. In the pouring rain. I didn't mind as I was fairly warm due to the many layers so didn't do my coat up. But when almost there someone drove right into a huge puddle that I didn't see (it was dark) and got me absolutely drenched! Fortunately my shirt wasn't too wet so dried quickly under the George hand dryer and just threw the rest of my wet clothes into a bag. Apart from that it was a good night with us all chatting about various items that we've bought or need to get before leaving and saying the advantages and disadvantages of the Bournemouth lot only staying with girls in their halls. In the words of Helen the main disadvantage is that they can't meet guys over the kitchen counter! Oh so true :D
Wednesday afternoon, I was in Kingston again but this time saying goodbye to David. He had already met up with his old friend from the Disney store where he worked who was very nice. When I met up with them I was very hungry by 2pm so we got lunch in McDonalds and sat there for nearly 2 hours. His friend Alice is at Royal Holloway so she was chatting about halls life and stuff which was interesting to hear a first hand view! After eating Alice said her goodbyes to go shopping and David and I headed off to the train/bus station to depart in our separate ways. Was rather saddening as he kept saying I'm not going to cry..which caused me to get all teary. But we didn't! Just had a really long hug saying it's not the end as we're always chatting on BBM! I did cry a little on the train, damn Olafur Arnalds!
Thursday during the day was spent at work which was incredibly long and dull as there wasn't many customers so it was just sorting out the delivery and trying to find spaces for the new xmas stock. The xmas fragance range smells foul (one of them is Bitter Orange and Cloves, ew, ew,ew!) and it was my job to place them on the shelf. Not fun!
After a quick change and get ready I was at Nick's to head off to the School of Spice for the happy bday nick/goodbye party. The curry part was rather enjoyable, partly because it's curry and we were having a good ol'chat about random stuff. Afterwards we all got split up and a few of us ended up sitting in Jenny's car as it was freezing. This was hilarious as the car behind's alarm went off and we thought it was ours so we were all ahhhhhhhh what do we do?! for a few mins. Eventually we all got to Nick's and got on with the drinking part of the evening, Bethbeth texted me saying can I come over so after advice from Flo who said bring a guy with you to walk over there, I grabbed Joe as he was the first guy I saw, with Hazel and Bethhead to walk to collect Bethbeth.
More drinking was on the cards for a while and singing happy bday to nick, a month early, when Bethbeth suggested looking at the forum on my mobile about this rumour that had been created. This being that the guys are splitting up and from what Mikey said to Beth it could be true. Who was the last person to reply when I checked? Greg! So we stood nervously outside cos of signal and waited to read a reply of not really denying that they are not splitting. Gregggy!!
By now people had started crying so the mood of the night took a downturn. When Martin was leaving Ali broke down which was rather saddening, bless him, then Lyci and me were having a we will miss each other hug which caused me to start crying. Then Pete started crying, so that caused more tears. Then me later hugging Nick. Was all very teary! Well, so I thought until I read a tweet from Greg, about nothing really, and that caused me to burst into more tears! We all started settling down about 4am and Barwood and Anita were both very drunk and had a sitcom type situation of fighting over the duvet they were sharing which resulted in us separating them to opposite ends of the room. I eventually dropped off about 5ish and was up at 9!
Today was just working and being incredibly sleepy. So sleepy I got into my shower after arriving home with my glasses still on! Last day at Laura Ashley tomorrow, hoooooooray :D :D
Been a long emotional week and next one will be spent packing, fun fun
