I love what you said about NEEDING to write, and I can totally understand you. I mean, I haven't written anything in a good ten years, because something happened and I just couldn't anymore, but since I got it back roundabout 2 years ago? I'm the same, I really kinda NEED it, too. I'm miserable if I don't write anything for more than a few days, even if it's just for my own amusement.

Writing takes a lot of effort. For me to actually write it, one of two things must happen; either the story haunts me and won't stop playing in my head until it's out there, or I know someone would read it.
Since I'm writing gen SPN and I'm not one of fandom's greatest, or even most known writers, I know chances are only a handful would even bother, and that kind of kills my motivation.
I have so many stories to tell, so many plot bunnies to follow, but if people don't read it, I just don't see why I should bother. I mean, summarizing the story into one page or one post is a hell of a lot simpler. *shrugs*

Getting a review or a reply is SO much better than getting paid for a book and never knowing if anyone really enjoyed it, or what parts they liked.
But that's just me.
