It's kind of strange to me, ya know? If I were to picutre myself, I'd be Sam. I'm the one who likes learning new stuff, I love reading (didn't quite love school, but I doubt Sam did, either), I like that he set a goal to himself and went after it. Me, I wouldn't leave my family to do so, but then I'm a chicken.
Dean is the kind of guy I'm roll my eyes at, at least on first glance.
Thing is, in season 1, we got all these LAYERS to his character. It was so complex, whereas Sam was so simple.
And then everything kinda got screwed up in season 2, cuz they started piling up the sh*t and forgot the character development. *sighs* I guess that's why there's fic, right? ;)
Yes! I'm doing it as a part of the annul fic prompts at Summer of Sam Love on LJ. Yep, as you guessed it-- the focus is Sam ;) This year, the prompts were to choose episodes from any season and to write codas, etc. I'm busy writing a story about 5x03 and 5x21 so it should be interesting. I'm shit scared though not just because most of my flist is more Dean oriented, but there are authors who are also writing whom I adore and think the world of.
Also my Sam stories are going to be a little weird I guess because of the concept that I'm using to tell the story and Sam's character. So I'm afraid that people won't like it but tough! I see Sam as being a certain way and I can't change that to fit the more canon mold.
And then everything kinda got screwed up in season 2, cuz they started piling up the sh*t and forgot the character development. *sighs* I guess that's why there's fic, right? ;) THIS! I totally agree, in relation to both boys!

But the great thing about summergen is the anonymity, so yeah, there are great authors there, and unknown ones, but you'll have to read the fic anyway cuz you don't know who wrote it. I adore the idea. It has the chance to really boost someone's readership.

LOL I'm actually in the middle of writing two Sam-centric stories and you're right, it is difficult to get into his mindset
