I mean, that tiny fella melting with smiles every time Dean looked back? Awww. I know. It was so cute!
I don't trust Sam, but moreso, I don't trust neither grandpa nor the cousins. I'm reserving my judgement for Sam, but I really don't trust Grandpa or the cousins.
Also, was I the only one that felt bitchslapped totally betrayed when Christian mentioned Dean as a torturer in Hell? I mean, the only way he'd know it was if Sam had told them, and why the hell would Sam do that? Exactly! I felt the same way.
The best part of the episode was the end. Dean gets to keep his family and keep hunting. I hope he visits Lisa and Ben more than I think he will. And the Impala scene was sweet! I'm not a car girl, but I do love the Impala.
To be honest, I think the writers are doing great with Sam and the cousins. The whole trust them/don't trust them thing isn't easy to do, so kudos.
The best part of the episode was the end. Dean gets to keep his family and keep hunting. I hope he visits Lisa and Ben more than I think he will See, I don't see it that way. I want to, but I don't. I see him getting kicked out of his "normal" life. I'm not sure he's not relieved by that, but it's another option he can't go back to, not really. Lisa invited him as a visitor, not a part of the family, and she'll move on. And again, Sam doesn't need him anymore, not really. And he's changed. Yeah, I'm sure he's happy to have the impala back, but now more than ever, I feel like it's the only thing he has left.
I guess I just really really want to see it then. LOL. I just thought it was a good compromise that he come back when he can and still be on the road hunting with Sam. I kind of wish he left them at Bobby's where they'd be more safe though. I just hope in the end, he gets his normal life (which is what Dean would have had if Sam wasn't back in his life, but maybe it's still possible with Sam alive). I just don't want Lisa and Ben to die. I don't want them to move on either, and for Lisa to find another man either. That'd be way to angsty.
I am so done with over-angst. My most recent plot bunny has Dean going off on a hunt with Sam, only to get bitchslapped betrayed again, and then telling Sam he's going back to Lisa for good, only he doesn't. He disappeares, just tosses his cell phone and splits.
And that's when this bunny makes sweet sweet bunny love with one of my oldest bunnies, where Dean goes hunting for a monster that can take someone's memories - only instead of killing it, he gets it to take away all of his.
So, fresh start. He'll probably leave himself some advice (monsters exist, so watch out. You got no one looking for you, so don't go looking. Oh, and the police thinks you're dead, so try to keep it that way), but then it's a new start. And boy would it be fun to have Sam look for Dean.
Can you see it? Dean severing all connections, so that the next time Sam looks for him, his cell's been disconnected, and Lisa hasn't seen him in weeks, and Bobby doesn't know anything. Ahh. Shoe on the other foot. Delicious. *g*
