Revisionism or rethought?

I thought today that the six months that I spent living with Nikki and everyone at the apartment was my experiment in destitution. I wasn't really a drug-addled pothead yet, but I didn't hold a job for longer than a week or two.
We barely ate food and we scrounged ashtrays for cigarette butts because we had no money for either.

Destitution isn't necessarily a bad thing... You said it yourself, you had a good time :)
