Holiday Traditions - The New Version

So, this is the first year that the family Thanksgiving is away from the old homestead. All during my growing up years, we held the holiday feast at my great-aunt Mabel's house in Painesville. I know how you feel about family traditions. Even though there were years I couldn't make it, there was a comfort in knowing that my grandmother was hosting Thanksgiving at her house every year. Holidays have been very different since she's been gone, like we're still groping around trying to figure out which traditions we will keep and what we will have to learn to do differently.

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm sure it will be lovely.
