I am interested in hearing ANY advice out there about air travel with an infant. We are traveling to Seattle from Baltimore this Wednesday with my son who is 11 months old (he'll be 1 on June 25). I fly a ton with my 8 month old and these are the tricks we use. If at all possible, take your car seat with you for him to sit in. When you get to the counter to check in, ask them to give you an open row so you can take it on board. That way he can play or even sleep if he wants to. If the plane is too full, my friend gave me the idea of taking the baby into the bathroom with a laptop and DVD. They took their one year old daughter all the way to Guam and they spent over half the flight in the bathroom watching a movie. My doctor told me to give my baby some benedril or tylenol to help relax them, let them sleep and also to protect them from ear pain during take off and landing. Good luck!

THanks so much. A nice thing that my step-father did was upgrade our tickets to first class, so I think that should help out a lot. We are definitely taking our car seat.
Thanks again.

Hi. I came across your post in Prayer Warrior's LJ. Check out her friends...Gen_Here, Reflected_Grace (my daughter), Querido, and Jeney. They are all moms who are expecting another baby or have just had another baby. I think you'd like to read their journals.

Just a suggestion. Hope you have a good trip! :)
