Ahhhh I loved it! It's so subtlety sexy! You're perspective of Kambei make him a complete fool for Kyu (also, though, with the maturity that is necessary for Kambei to be close to a wo/man like Kyu).

It is interesting, the position in which Kanbei finds himself--so devoted to Kyuuzou, and yet always needing to be on the defensive. It would be so hard for me to know with a lover like that where the disconnection is supposed to be exactly. Even then, disconnect is the wrong word, because he's very tied to her through the duel that is to take place. I don't know.

At any rate, I think they're one sexy ass couple (as so aptly portrayed in jun-i's art piece!). I like Kanbei and m-Kyuu, naturally, but there's something really compelling about Kanbei and f-Kyuu.
