Samurai 7 stageplay re-run

If you haven't heard yet, it's been announced that there will be a re-run of the Samurai7 stage-play this year. There are a few casting changes, but for the most part, I expect it to be almost identical to the first play (which ran two years ago).

I have been going stark staring BONKERS trying to get my hands on the DVD of this. The only place I know online to buy it is here and Celga says they can't get it for me because of something screwy with website purchasing at this site. Think there's any chance there will be a DVD of this production? I would die of joy to finally see this whole thing.

As far as I know, that site is the only one selling it. My only suggestion is that you try another deputy service. Maybe you can find one that is able to purchase through from the Goma Books site.

Since the production company is the same, I assume that there will indeed be a DVD of this show as well. But chances are that it'll still only be sold through the Goma Books shop. I don't think there will be any announcements until the performances start, so I can't say anything for sure yet.

Thanks so much for taking the time to respond. The story I get from Celga is that Goma Books can only sell the DVD online, not through email enquiries, but their online payment system isn't working. And that it's been that way for months. It's very frustrating!

Perhaps I should try a different deputy service as you say and see if the story's different.

I just attended the show on Monday (it was a GREAT job done! ^0^/) and yes, there will be a DVD! But it's to be released in April of next year, unfortunately....Such a long wait!!! ><;;

No way! Even though I am no no where near Japan, I am so excited to hear about a re-run! I hope you have a lot of fun seeing these shows, and I really look forward to your recaps!

I was surprised when I heard about the new run of this play... Certainly didn't expect them to do it again. Can't complain, though - if it's anywhere near as entertaining as the first play, it should be awesome. :D [Samurai7] holds a lot of nostalgia for me, since it was the very first stageplay I've gone to here in Japan. It'll be great to see it once more! I'll do my best with the recap.

Oh, man... I am jealous of the people who get to see stuff like that... Since I'm definitely not gonna be able to go in person, I'm looking forwards to recaps! Also, Aiba Hiroki. WHY SO GORGEOUS. And the girl they picked to play Komachi is so cute.

If only it didn't cost so much for the trips down to Tokyo to see all the shows I do. (>___<) I'll do my best with the recap - not sure if it'll be as detailed as my one for the first play, but I'll try my best. AIBA~ <3 (It'll be weird seeing him without a sword - every play I've seen him in, he's had a sword ...though I'm sure there will be Shinkenger references during the final show, since there are always Shinkenger references when Aiba is near swords. XD)
