Huzzah for asking of out. It looks like you took my advice of asking her out just to something, or anything. It may be a good idea to take her to dinner and go dancing together. I know you don't make much, so if you need anything I'll help you out. And when you "date" her, it doesn't have to be like every time you go out you do something. You can just do nothing together and that's ok. Hang out at her place or her at yours, something. Go scour the mall or Coconuts and the like. Don't keep your mind so much on doing things so much as just being together.

Good luck with the Halloween thing, I'm still opting out of dressing up for lack of inspiration.

Coffee...if you like coffee, it's good for a first "date." You don't have to worry about sitting there too long, and it gives you time to talk. Just a suggestion, but you could go to Pennylane or someplace like that. Just make sure whatever you do you'll both enjoy.
