The nice guy does win

Is it really worth it, to be the "nice guy"? I try to do the right thing in every situation. I dont lie, use foul language (much), cheat, steal. I'm a security guard. I try to be the chivalrous type. this, however, can result in ridicule by others. when the question "how many chicks have you banged?" is asked and i answer "zero" people tend to ( Read more... )

Good for you. Its like brushing your teeth. No one really cares about it much at our age (gross, btw) because you can just swish some mouthwash and call it even but in 20 years when everyone else's teeth are disgusting and stained you'll be the one that everyone is looking at with the nice healthy teeth ;)

btw thanks for the spoiler alert. I would have been super ticked if you didn't say anything and I ended up reading something that I really really REALLY did not want to know until March.

it's easy to give in and be like everyone else. but that's just it: who wants to be like everyone else? a hopeless drone.

being the good guy and being chivalrous might not be easy, but doing the right thing usually isn't.
I can't put it into words even close to how good (yet so simple!) Katie put it.
I hope you never lose sight of that though, b/c to actually care and actually TRY to be better really builds character and makes for a strong spirit.
