I went to see an awsome play the other night. Shadow in the Darkness. I loved the play and the actors, but the ending sucked. Also, they used real ciggarets for props and they quickly stunk up the tiny auditorium

A cigarette is basically a miniature cigar, and "ette" is used to denote something smaller or not as big, so cigar + "ette" =cigarette.
