Bartending=performing

I picked up a shift at Harbour Lights tonight.  What can I say, I haven't made much money in the last 2 months, and I could really use it.  And to tell you the truth, I was really excited about it.  I'm glad I quit, but there was something about bartending that just suited me.  I talked about this with my mom the other day, and she led me to a ( Read more... )

You know its funny, I was just having this same kinda conversation on Tuesday with one of my lesbian coworkers who couldn't believe with the way I interact with customers and people at work that I'm a socially awkward wall flower. I do the same thing you do in terms of playing the character...though due to my predisposition to negativity, I usually abuse the customers in a funny, non threatening way. Or yell at them for being out in shorts and a t-shirt when it's -20 (which is re-frappin'-diculous). and I wish I could be there for your Captain S party, but alas... I am still in Crapchester.

I don't know...I don't think it would be as attractive, or maybe that's because I know the real you so well. When I was down there in New York seeing you around all the Harbor Lights people I felt like it was an act...but maybe it would help you when you're first meeting people. :-P
