I'm not what you call a 9 to 5er. I don't have an office that I go to, I don't clock in anywhere, and weekends mean as much to me as tuesday. The downside to this, of course, is that my income is far less than what is considered desirable. The last time I visited New York was about 6 years ago, I was walking around Broadway street and I remember a girl posing with arms open and a wide smile (as if to say, I'm here New York!) under a street sign while a friend took the picture. I'm not sure if that girl was a tourist or had just moved, but she reminded me of all the people who move there to try and make it big, but who might be too naive to get to where they need to be and end up being crushed by the scams.
I've never been worried about you though. You're extremely intelligent, and like you said, can see through the bullshit.

So far, they've been good, but I'm worried about the more extensive ones being scams. I don't want to go through weeks of trips to doctor's offices only to tell me near the end that I didn't qualify.
