Albert Hofmann, RIP.
Discoverer of LSD, died 9am on Tuesday Apr 29, 2008 (whenever that was, given timezones).

He made it to 102.

I should probably nitpick that he didn't actually invent LSD, he merely figured out how to synthesize it (something which actually isn't all that hard, we did it ourselves in our biochemistry class in sixth form, it's pretty simple organic chemistry), and then became famous for experimenting with it.

I actually wrote 'synthesizer' of LSD on my first pass, but then figured that looked a bit weird.
Cultural norms being what they are, we still say someone 'discovered' a place even if the natives knew about it for yonks, so I figured it was the similarly inaccurate equivalent.

Huh, I guess 'Discovered LSD' would work too?
Actually, I am enough of a nitpicker that I will go back and edit it to that, at least.
