VICTORY.

I finally got my employer, who shall henceforth be referred to as Crazy Polish Lady, to agree to a much simpler eBay storefront rather than an actual e-store... simply by showing her what the source code for a fugly jewelry website looked like, and how an eBay store could be made very attractive with some simple CSS. \o/ It's so easy to ( Read more... )

Well, sort of. She runs a snowball stand in the summer that serves something like 300 flavors of fancy shaved ice topped with cream, chocolate pieces, fruit, caramel, etc. I'm at that place several times a week for 4 months out of the year.

Oh, so the icy syrupy confections, then, not the squishy marshmallow ones.

Ahaha, she acts like she's mystified by electricity. I'm going to at least set her up with a CD tutorial of some kind so I don't have to keep going to her house...

I didn't know that there could be people more clueless about computers than my mother. At least she can get to her own email now and I have witnessed her using Google to search for something once.

As for the snowballs that woodburner is talking about just do a search for Hostess Snowballs. They aren't just a southern thing. I've never eaten one, but my mom loves them.

Ahhh, snow cones! That's the natural conclusion! :P (I imagined for a second Sanada-kun cutting a swath through his enemies with humongous (soccer ball sized? XD) wads of snow. i think someone's stuck in there....)

lol, don't underestimate how good sites like eBay (even toddlers have figured out how to bid!), and Amazon are at getting your money, no matter how computer-illeterate you may be:
The entity we call Amazon has become a finely-honed machine for taking your money. Any possible friction in the express tunnel from your wallet to their bank account has been painstakingly excised. It’s both frightening and wonderful. I’ve been an Amazon Prime subscriber for a while now, and the fact that I can click a single button on their website and stuff shows up at my house two days later is exhilarating, addictive, and downright dangerous to my financial wellbeing. Nobody, but nobody, sells you shit better than Amazon does.
