Prologue

Before entering the world of Elderyn, these white words appeared before me as I situated myself for the character creation. I was a bit nervous since I was in a state of mid-air suspension, but I managed to hit the button to start the next step. The computer generated text disappeared with a click and a mirror appeared before me. I couldn’t see my reflection in it, but another person was staring right back at me.
It was a youthful male with ginger-colored hair and broad cerulean eyes. His expression was stern, but had a burning spirit of adventure emanating from his figure. He rocked back and forth as if he was waiting for me to choose him. It was then I noticed that there were more options for customization right below my right hand.
I quickly sifted through the numerous options that were granted to me through character creation. I had a good idea of how I wanted to make my avatar. A male, similar to me. Different colors splashed across my screen as I began creating my character. If art was like this, I’d definitely enjoy it.
It took a few hours to create someone I really liked, but in the end, it was worth it. My avatar had spiky jet-black hair as shiny as obsidian, deep amethyst eyes which sparked with anticipation, and a youthful appearance to match. A somewhat stoic and aloof character, I knew that this was probably a clear reflection of myself.
The name box appeared before me and I quickly typed in the name I wanted to use as my handle.

I found myself in a bustling town with all sorts of different people going about their business. I was a bit nervous being a newbie, but I found myself unable to contain the excitement that I had been building up for this VRMMORPG.
