Um... d-do many of you c-celebrate name days? I've n-noticed a lot of people c-celebrate their b-birthdays, but I haven't s-seen mention of name days.... I wonder if y-you're really considered a y-year older when you a-arrive only a f-few months before.... I was wondering if p-people did... wh-when they might be? I know the A-Archbishops will be on ( Read more... )

birthdays, curious about what other people might do, not going to mention his past week, name day

[Drat! You just had to remind him.]

Gracious, the date nearly slipped my mind, Il Papa.

[He was hoping he'd forget.]

O-only a little less than t-two months! F-for me....

[Of course he won't, that's like forgetting your birthday.]

M-maybe... m-maybe something n-nice could be done? On b-both days.

[This is a hint.]

(OOC: I need to not write tags when I'm hot and can't think....)

Between a b-birthday and a n-name day?

A b-birthday is the day you were born.... One's n-name day is the feast day of the s-saint they were named after. At least... that's what it is in m-my world. I was thinking m-maybe other people had something similar to a n-name day, a day to c-celebrate your name?

I w-wouldn't ask for a b-birthday party, but... I thought m-maybe since th-there are s-several for this month and the n-next....

I'm s-sorry I didn't do anything for y-yours....

That's a very generous thought. I don't see why we couldn't celebrate yours too.

I hardly realized mine had come and gone, myself. There's always next time.

W-well Father A-Anderson and I should sh-share one, I think. And that's the e-end of August, the A-Archbishop's is in a f-few days so I thought it would be n-nicer to celebrate his n-name day than my b-birthday.
