I love hockey, and I love the fact that it's the one sport that actually allows its players to fight each other. But this video is an example of what is not allowed in the NHL. This was uncalled for and detestable.

Maybe it's just because I know little to nothing about hockey, but I don't really get what he did to him. He just hit him with his stick in the gut? or groin? or what?

Well he hit him in the gut with his stick...but there was nothing that provoked it and he swung his stick hard like a baseball bat, which is completely uncalled for and childish for a hockey player to do.
