This is my Kris Letang primer for primerfest at hockeypedia. I’m finally done, and I know I’m cutting it very close to the deadline but it’s still August 1st where I am so I’m calling it a win. Thanks! And yes hockey players really do the strangest things to promote their sport. There was another video I wanted to include that had the French Canadian penguins talking more about how they have trouble with French when they're in English mode but I couldn't find it. If I do I'll add it.

If I find it I definitely will but it is eluding me so far. From what I remember it was a post-game interview with either Fleury or Letang (in English) and someone asked them to say something in French and they replied that they couldn't switch right away, right at that moment because they were speaking English right then. Then the interview moved on to other things but I imagine if they had been given a few moments they could have spoken French fine.

This is interesting! Forever Letang is my favorite Penguin and one of my favorite d-men in the entire league, but for some reason I always think he's much older / has more seasons under his belt than he actually does. Probably because he's such a big dude, but then - defensemen!

Thank you! And yes Letang is the same age as Crosby. All of these hockey players are a lot younger than I expect them to be. I think as you said the size is deceiving and so many of them have wives and kids which makes me think they're older.

I had no idea that he uses his mom's last name. That's great. And I am pleased to know that there will be a little Tanger in the world soon (so jealous of this woman! He is beyond beautiful... THE HAIRRRR...).

That training vid always gets me. Hockey players are so damn strong. Those hurdle jumps are crazy! And I like how they prepare their own sticks. It's sort of unique to the sport, isn't it? I mean they really have to know how to work with their tools. (This sounds so dirty. heh.)

I am so glad to hear that you liked it! I was most worried about your reaction (as the prompter) so it's a relief to know that I found some new stuff for you.

Yeah amazingly there is no information about his family in English and then in French there are articles that get really personal about his family. But what I really want to know is if his bb gets the hair too.

I love that vid because it really does give a good idea of what I assume most hockey players do to bulk up over the summer. Most of the vids I see only show one or two different things while this has a wide range which is amazing to watch.

I'd be happy to translate any French media if you want to send it my way. I have a hard time understanding the Quebecois accent so any video would be hit or miss but articles are no problem.
