The pet shop owner said it was male. I don't know how he could tell the two genders apart.

If I remember correctly, you can tell the difference in the gender of a hermit crab from where the...opening is on their body.

...And I never knew hermit crabs could possess hair.

It was Uzumaki who suggested getting a hermit crab. Dogs are noisy and hard to take care of.
