My new favorite TV show has become Fox's So You Think You Can Dance. I was browsing one of my favorite message boards for SYTYCD and I found this: (posted by oranginia at TWOP, just to give credit)

I keep having this vision of Heidi doing another one of her patented Desperate Dances of Desperate Desperation. The music keeps getting faster and ( Read more... )

Who are your favorites? I like Allison and Travis, though they're not a couple. My favorite couple is probably Natalie and Musa, if only for the chemistry that they have.

My favorite couple is Benji and Donyelle, although separately, I like Benji and Allison. (Hated Allison at first, although she's really grown on me lately). I like Benji and Donyelle's giggly friendly chemistry with each other a lot more than Natalie and Musa's overly gropy chemistry - sometimes it looks like Musa's a little scared of Natalie's grabbiness (is that even a word?)

oddly enough, my first thought was in that the original version of snow white... her mother (not a stepmother), once it became known that it was she who did all the bad stuff, was forced to wear "red hot shoes" (aka: burning hot coals strapped to her feet), as she was being hanged.

like i said, it was the first thought that popped into my head. *shrug* i'm going to go take some tylenol and lay down, i think lol

I don't think I'm familiar with Snow White and red hot shoes. :( Although that makes me think of Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz. Unfortuantely, that leads to the thought of country girl Dorothy flailing madly around in Heidi's arms spinning legs wildly kicking dance of desperation. Eeek - kind of scary.

eh, it's in the older, pre-disney versions. where it was always the mother that did the bad stuff and there wasn't always a happily ever after.

hmm. i never noticed the red shoe connection between the two. interesting!
