It's mid-morning, and Greg's finally manuvered his way out of Vegas traffic from the lab. He parks, rescues his kit from the passenger seat, and takes the steps two at a time. Someday perhaps JP will learn to use his inherent ninja skills for good and not for evil. Or maybe for awareness and not for obliviousness. Either way, he doesn't really stop to consider that when you're behind somebody you should perhaps have the courtesy to make your footsteps not-silent, so they will have some warning when you suddenly call out their name from behind. Oh, but that wuold make sense, and Jean-Paul is all about the not making sense lately. It's a pattern in his life.

The sound Greg makes is an approximation between "Gah" and "fjdkldshlkjdhf;ljfdalkjdakf." He also drops his keys. But he establishes that this is JP! Oh, JP. No panic throttling. He eyeshifts and attempts to restore aplomb.

"Hey. Uh, sorry, I would've called but everyone was sleeping and I didn't want to wake them up..." He shoves his bandaged hands in his pockets. He's actually wearing pants that fit as pants are supposed to, and not pants that act as long-term vasectomies are supposed to. He looks pretty strung-out but that's normal for him.

"S'okay. Daniel's afraid of most of the phone calls I get anyway. Holy crap I'm hungry. You?" The perennial offer of food is both typical of him and probably a reaction to how JP looks. Greg heads up the stairs, talking on in that cheerful, mildly manic way he has post-coffee. "Yeah, so a while back, Lyta posted something about people looking for you. I mean, I figure you're on that already and everything, but what's that about?"
