The commercialism of Ameircan Idol is beyond ridiculous. 11 people sing for 90 seconds, 3 judges give a few seconds of feedback. That could be fit into 1 hour of programming, right? Subtract the standard 15 minutes of commercial and you can easily fit 16.5 minutes of singing into 45 minutes
