I played frisbee in the park again this week, with the guys from craigslist. It was pretty wet and muddy and soggy and squishy and swampy, what with the fields around Lake Elizabeth deciding to become small lakes themselves. We made peanut brittle a couple days ago--and it was a big, fun, gooey mess, and almost a disaster, but not quite. Imagine a pot of nicely bubbling molten sugar. Then heat it from 300 degrees to 305 and add baking soda. Now watch your imaginary molten sugar foam out of control, over the edge of the pot, onto your bothers oven mitts.
