(((Hugs))) to you and Terri from afar.

I personally dread 9/11 because for me, I don't WANT to be forced to watch nonstop video of what, for me, was an utterly miserable and frightening time in my life. Even the "Never Forget" bumper stickers irritate me bc I can't imagine anyone CAN forget, even if they wanted to. I can't even imagine how it feels for families that lost someone or for the direct survivors at the various locations who almost lost their lives. I'm just hoping that this anniversary is the last "big one" for a long time. I'd come to appreciate the quieter years where the news only mentioned memorials in passing. But for today, I plan on cleaning, studying, and perhaps going to see a bball game. And other than that I'm going to avoid as much of the coverage as possible.

*HUGS*

Last weekend we watched a series on the Science Channel called "Rising: Rebuilding Ground Zero," about the memorial and the buildings they are currently erecting on the site. We kind of got sucked into it, so we did watch some of the coverage this morning because we wanted to see the memorial "in real life" instead of just computer renderings. It's pretty amazing. Beyond that, though, we're treating today as a normal Sunday.
