!!

That's a great outfit. I would like to see more color, but it all fits well with the style you're going for.

The jacket is definitely Russian military-like, and the turtleneck/skirt combo, for some reason, gives me a mod girl vibe.

What might go well with the outfit is a pair of those knee-high boots that I'm now seeing girls wearing. :-) The tops of the boots go over the knees, and girls wear them either like that or after folding the tops so they're like cuffed below their knees.

Yeah I've seen those boots. I have a pair of "normal" black boots that I wore with it. I wonder how those knee-high boots would look though. I always worry I might look too hooker-ish or something >.>

Also, sometimes I wonder how some of my Japanese fashion will go over with people when I go back to the states.

I think that you would come across very nicely with them! If you think that "hooker'ish" is what you'll look like, think Julia Roberts after makeover. ;-)

I don't see Japanese fashion being too odd or forward for the U.S. - unless we are talking Amish here?? Miniskirts and the short-shorts/go-go boots combo probably won't go over too well in certain parts of the country though... As a guy, that might not be so bad - considering what a scare I had seeing the... umm, "width" problem, shall we say... the first time I went back to the States for a visit. :-(
