Socialise on the weekends, socialise on your breaks, socialise in the evenings with yourself, a dog, a tree or whatever!
A PhD will almost guarantee you financial security for your adult life, if you get married and have a wife and kids and cars you'll need a way to support them. This world is fast paced and education is key..

And sadly, a PhD won't really guaranteed me anything. It's just another qualification, and I won't necessarily get a [decent] job out of it at the end of the day. Even if I did, who will I be able to spend the cash on when I come out!
Considering that a PhD is hard enough anyway, this seems like a huge disadvantage to take in with me, along with the others I'll get during it.
