First of all I have to mention that I have never met a notable author like David Malouf before, so his visit itself was very valuable to me.

I also thought it was interesting to meet a famous author. I don't think I’ve ever meet one before either. I also found it interesting to see a little into the way they write/work and yes I’m a bit like you aswell in when I write it seems a bit of mess to begin with but there is hope for us budding writers. I also wanted to say that I’m impressed that you persisted with The Great World got so much form it even though you found it hard and to see your fine writing style as this is your second language.
