January Reading and Writing Report

Very happy to sign the contract last week with a small press for my ninth book, a new standalone contemporary thriller about veterans in Philadelphia. Tech Tips: (1) I use Workflowy to track just about everything these days. Simple, easy and cross-platform. (2) Longform has a feature where you can send articles directly to your Kindle - extremely useful.

Earlier this year I wrote a really long spec fic story set on Guam. Then I wrote a middle-length romance story set on Guam. Then I saw a call for flash fiction and thought, Hey, Guam! Diana Comet and the Christmas Quilt
Very pleased to release the first new Diana Comet story in two years! This is the story of a teenage girl who seeks Diana Comet's help in "fixing" her younger brother, who is being bullied for wearing girls' clothing. My new story at Clarkesworld
Very delighted to see my story "Your Final Apocalypse" published in Clarkesworld. This is my second publication there, and this story is a particular favorite because, you know, apocalypse. The sad reality of November's writing
