Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

After 12 hours with 2 hours of sleep in between and some other interruptions, I've finished reading the last Harry Potter book. And I loved it!!!! It's surely one of my favourites.

There were a lot of surprises, but I'm very happy about the ending. I'm glad that Harry and Ginny got married and had a family. R/Hr as well.

Hedwid and Dobby got to me as well, more than I thought they would. I think you were right about H/G, it was never suppose to be a shippy fanfic but what he may get should he give up what he had.

And the shippy fanfics start cropping up now:) - I've already read two very good post-DH one-shots.

I was having doubt with the book because of the spoilers but it proved me wrong when I read it myself! It's awesome in my opinion.

I was initially disappointed with the lack of Ginny but when I read the book there is no way JKR could've written her the way we wanted her too. I agree that Ginny is the "other life" in Harry's POV which he needed in this book.

Molly kicks ass!

Neville is the man!

I'm quite sad that Fred, Hedwig and R/T dies.I agree tho that Dobby's death is very moving.

What I thought really came through in this book - regardless of page time - was how deeply Harry cared for Ginny. There was no uncertainty that he loved her.

I was disappointed about the Ginny page time but by the end it was fairly clear what Ginny was to be for Harry ( ... )

Fred and the Lupins did bring tears to my eyes, Dobby's death was sadder for me than I would've imagined.

Ditto and double ditto. I know two pairs of twins and I know just how much it would hurt if one of them died before the other like that. And the Lupins dying was just... why? Why couldn't Hagrid or Draco have died instead? >_
