I'm so glad that I'm not the obliging who thought there was a little distance... He loves her- to that I have no doubt. He'd do anything- and that about always shows. But there was a distance in the banter. Just because youre in love with someone doesn't mean that you can't try to protect yourself. But it was interesting to me that Damon was the one with the deed to the house- the one who put in front of Elena. That's the stuff fics are born from. LOL.

But your story was great to read. I particularly loved this line, " missing a man who is in the same room..."
