But Elena did not respect those truths. She put back together a man who should have been left wanting and desperate for affection. She made whole a man without a soul. She placed her life in the hands creature whose first instinct was to kill and believed that through his imperfections he was worthy of her trust. She forgave what was unforgivable. I loved getting to read a story from Klaus' POV. I hadn't done that yet and I really, really enjoyed it. I find it interesting how Klaus thinks that because Elena has chosen Damon that history was messed up because it states that her bloodline was always supposed to pick the good brother. Just because of Damon's past does not make him the "Bad" Brother, it just makes him a vampire. I have always thought that Stefan's past was worse than Damon's. Stefan was only the so called "Good" Brother because he was trying to deny his true nature.
I like how you compared Klaus and Damon. I have thought before that they were similar in their histories. Like with their father's, or the fact that they both loved the same woman that their brother did.
