I constantly think in the back of my mind somewhat wistfully that I wish I were doing more of certain activities ( Read more... )

You are sorry? :P

I am more sorry that I was like:

"Let's do this thing!"
*four days elapse*
"Wait, nevermind, I am incapable of doing this thing!"

Mad skillz: I haz them.

I need to get back to Massachusetts so I can have a face-to-face social life with people again.

I endorse this idea and/or product. ;)

You know, life circumstances permitting, anyhow. I will think positive, Massachusetts-enabling thoughts for you, anyhow!

There's a blue million ways people do them, and I went with a pretty simple one. I conceptualise them as a spin on lasagna ( ... )

It does make sense! It is uncannily like my own style of cooking.

I make my own tortillas, they are just not as cheap here and it's one of the few things I can make (pastry and stuff seems to be my thing, sadly). But I make so much mess when I do that I like to do interesting things with them to make up to The Boy for the flour half way up the wall, etc.

I am unsure why "sadly" re: pastry, as that seems an excellent thing to have skills around, and I'm kinda envious. :)

I have been burning out on trying to organize local social activities. The rare times I post availability for hanging out, with advance notice I mean, I hear crickets, and the rare times I host a party we get considerably fewer attendees than somebody with less space at a place without T access. It's enough to make me want to hermit up.

Yeah... I feel like it's a bit hard on all sides, though. I've been in that place where I know I want to go do something social, but the day comes and my brain is pretty much screaming "ENOUGH!" at me, and I certainly know others have been in this same boat.

In general, it seems like weekdays are hard because most folks are burnt out after work/school, so everyone schedules for weekends, which makes weekends hard. Then, pretty soon it's been months and I haven't seen half my friends.

*sigh* If someone comes up with a useful solution, I am sure they will be lauded to the skies.
