[CHARACTER INFO]
CHARACTER NAME: Sheldon Jeffery Sands
FANDOM: Once Upon in Mexico (Movie 2003)
CHRONOLOGY: November 2nd just before his eyes were taken and right at the time he was drugged by Barillo cartel agents, namely Dr. Guevera.
CLASS: Anti-hero (Mostly neutral) but will get involved in a fight if he sees no other option. He's mostly an orchestrator of events that ultimately lends to restoring the balance of power. This can be dumbed down quite a bit.
SUPERHERO NAME: Weaver
ALTER EGO: Sheldon Jeffery Sands, he'll answer to Jeff, Shelly (though not positively but it will get his attention), Sands and Hellion. He poses as many things but one thing he poses the most is a food critic. His main occupation is a police officer, mostly undercover.

BACKGROUND:
Sheldon Sands was sent to Culican, Mexico to track down and destroy the Barillo Cartel and to orchestrate the assassination of her president. Since General Emiliano Marquez was hired by Armando Barillo to assissinate the president, this alerted Agent Sands to take action and put a stop to this poly-tactical display of power. However, there was a price to be paid.

Sands met with a man named Belini in a small cafe in La Pileta. Belini gave Sands the name of a possible prospect who was known as the Guitar Fighter though little was known to Sands about him other than what Belini could tell him. Sands, of course, was interested in this man once he heard the over-inflated and embellished tale of epically strange proportions. Sands sent one of his informants, Cucuy, to apprehend the Guitar Fighter and later recruited him at a restaurant where he informed "El" that the President will be killed in a coup d eta while "El" will take out General Marquez once the president falls by Marquez's hand. If El accepted, he was to meet with a man named Salamane who was in fact Sands in a bad disguise as a priest. Sands gave El detailed instructions as to what is expected of him and where he needs to report to. Failure to comply will cause a forfeiture of protection. El accepted and met with opposition inside the church. The ones that tried to kill El were Barillo cartel agents which would lead one into suspicion what Sands really was and how he knew they would be there.

Sands waited outside of the church as El commenced with his test. After a few minutes, Sands called El on the phone and asked if he was still standing. Once he received the confirmation, that was when the real work began. Sands met with a retired FBI agent named Jorge Ramirez and began a discussion of a plan to take down Barillo and Guevera by convincing Agent Ramirez that an agent never really retires when he retold the story of how Ramirez's partner was tortured and later died by the hands of Guevera which in turned sealed the deal.

After meeting with Agent Ramirez, Sands met up with the president's adviser, Nicolas Que Pasa, at a bullfight to discuss the plans to bring about a revolution to purge the system of the wrongs that have been committed. In order to do this, the president had to be killed and the only way to ensure that can happen was to have someone on the inside to make it happen by setting up the president for his death. The adviser informed Sands that on The Day of the Dead the president would give a speech in the town of Culican. The adviser tells Sands that there is a way to get the assassins into the building without alerting security. Sands rigged the bullfight and caused the matador to fail. This action was one of many that Sands performed in order to keep the balance. Cucuy was instructed to collect the money from the fights and it was Sands that paid off the adviser by giving him the profits of it, of course Cucuy took his share without telling Sands about it which Sands would find out later on just how greedy Cucuy really was.

Sands later met with Belini again only this time to get the information that was withheld by the otherwise cheesy informant in an attempt to hold on to what little power that he had. The waitress, who was really of no consequence other than that she flubbed up and spilled coffee on Sand's fake arm used as a decoy while his other hand held the gun under the table, was shot after Belini was killed for noticing the dupe.

Sands took Belini's body to a river and began checking him which proved interesting. He found the information he needed hidden behind the eye patch and inside what was supposed to be the socket for Belini's right eye but Sheldon still looked in the worst possible places anyway to make certain that he left no stone unturned to get the information that he needed to bring down the Cartel.

He later went to the apartment where Agent Ajedrez was staying at and was greeted with a couple of gunshots of deliberate misses when he broke in through the door. Sands complained that his key didn't work and Ajedrez responded that it was too small. Now whether she was referring to the plot or to the key itself is unknown at this point. Sands tosses the information to the AFN agent and moved on to give her more details of the plan. He tried to appeal to her better nature by giving her incentive as to why the plan would work. Of course this meant that she would have to pretend that she was interested in it in order to keep Sands from suspecting her and she succeeded.

The same evening, Sands called up El to explain the details of his next assignment. This was to ensure that his team was able to get into the president's mansion without being spotted and how to infiltrate it when the time came for the assassination attempt.

The following morning, Agent Ramirez called up Sands to let him know that he's in and he's ready to aid Sands. His first assignment was to "get inside" which at first Ramirez thought he meant to get close to and apprehend Billy Chambers, another wanted fugitive from the San Antonio cartel ring that Barillo fronted. Sands informed Ramirez that he didn't have enough information to get a solid lead and instructed Ramirez to do what needed to be done to get the information subsequently taking any opportunity that was presented.

Cucuy double crossed Sands by informing Armando Barillo of what Sands' plan was which puts Barillo in a position to take action action against Cucuy, severing now two leads that could give Sands information to what the Barillo Cartel was up to.

The morning of The Day of the Dead, November 2, Barillo underwent reconstructive surgery and it was Ramirez that discovered the body double used for Barillo to make his escape. Ramirez was then captured by the cartel while Sands was left to figure out what happened. He was under the impression that Cucuy left for more money and his inside man simply vanished. It was during this crunch of time that Sands was beginning to stress out and he dropped his guard which was a horrible mistake on his part that caused him to be captured as well to later loose his eyes in the process by Dr. Guevera. Sands discovered that Agent Ajedrez was part of the cartel being Armando Barillo's daughter which was completely unexpected on his behalf.

Sands was later released from the cartel's hold and left out to fend on the streets amongst the chaos. Sands knew that he was being followed and later killed the man that shot him in the left arm despite his handicap. Now with the guns that was taken from the man he shot and killed, he used his senses to continue what he had started. Sands took down two of the men that were waiting at the plaza. He was shot on both legs but managed to kill the two men that tried to stop him. Sands played dead in the street which alerted Ajedrez to finish the job when she spotted him and noticed that he was still alive. In a trick, he shot her in the abdomen then fell down on the street again by using his false arm as a decoy, his pistol hand free.

Once the task was finished and everything was dealt with accordingly, Sands lifted his hand when he heard the bells of a familiar bicycle which happened to be the boy that accompanied him as his guide through the streets when he lost his eyes. With the task done, he quietly lived his life as a blind man in Mexico while the order was restored to the country with the entire cartel now laid to rest.

PERSONALITY:
Sheldon Sands is a soft-spoken man and blunt. He speaks his mind but knows when to be quiet as well. He's often twisted in his views of the world but his reasons for balance are strictly professional. He is a policeman by trade and will do whatever it takes to get the job done even if it means thinking outside the box. He isn't exactly good nor evil and has a neutral way of looking at the world. He knows human nature pretty well and often manipulates others to get the task done. He doesn't fight unless he has to and would rather have others do his dirty work for him.

Sheldon doesn't panic quickly and has a very long fuse. If he is angered, he will not hesitate to pull the trigger. This is the unpredictable side of his nature. If he views someone as worthless, he leaves them alone but this can also work two ways. If the person he lets go knows too much, the problem lies with the information coming back on him negatively or they simply will dismiss him as just being crazy for thinking up such a ploy to begin with and not bother with it.

Sheldon isn't exactly a by the book player in the game of life. He's more of a by the numbers type of person which means that he likes to have things in order and in its place in order to carry out his plans fully and efficiently. He's a thinker and a schemer and will cheat the system in order to restore the balance which is his driving force. He doesn't scream when he's hurt since his training wouldn't allow him to.

He hopes to have a world where he is not needed to manipulate the system in order to restore the peace. Though as useless as it would make him, he'll know then that he's done his job well and will not have to worry about war again. He knows that it's impossible for one man to do it alone so his thoughts on retirement are in the forefront in his mind as a death sentence.

Sheldon has an aggressive style to his methods of investigation and getting the job done. His soft spoken demeanor is matched with heavy hitting tactics. When he is confronted to fight, Sheldon does so with precision and with a very aggressive style that will kill another person if necessary.

POWER:
Sheldon has three powers and each one works together in an orchestra that allows him to survive.

Intuition: He has a very high intuition that allows him to see events before they happen but this is limited. He's weak against women which can destroy him if he is not careful. It borders precognition but it's not high enough to see the future. Instead, it takes on the form of ideas he calls "shapes". He has a 1 in 10 chance of failure which is a 10 percent chance that his focus could be shaken and his thoughts could take on a more random change that could confuse him.

Heightened Senses: His hearing, sight, sense of smell, taste and touch are heightened to the point of extreme sensitivity. Touch: His fingers can feel the indention through ten sheets of paper and can make out words and numbers. He has a 20 percent chance of failure on rougher surfaces and a 45 percent chance of failure if he tries to make out something through a weathered surface. Hearing: He has a 25 percent chance of failure if he tries to make out a complete conversation in the next room depending on the thickness of the walls. He loses 15 percent per 50 feet due to noise concentration and commotion. Taste: He can determine every spice and every flavor added to a meal. However, the spicier something is, the chance for him to detect a poison considerably drops to nearly a 65 percent chance of failure in detecting it. Smell: The same percentage applies here as it did in taste. If there is any spice used that is in a high concentration, he has a 65 percent chance of failure in detecting it. Sight: He can see in the dark up to 60 feet as if there was a candle lit once his eyes adjusted to the low light. However, if he reaches a bright area too quickly, he is rendered temporarily blinded and will run a higher risk in being detected if he was trying to use subterfuge to hide.

Accuracy: Sheldon has a 100 percent chance of hitting a target with a clear shot. He uses his senses to aid this ability and is an unmatched marksman. However, factors like weather, noise and other distractions can cause him to miss. He has a 10 percent chance of missing his target past 300 feet and every 50 feet thereafter if he is using an unaided firearm or other projectile weapon. (Unaided meaning without a scope and without taking the time to aim.) If he can grab it and throw it, he has an accuracy of 100 percent within 30 feet in hitting anything. If he takes the time to aim, he can hit a dime at 1000 yards with a high powered sniper rifle with a scope. He is human so it is possible to distract him.

Each of his powers are needed and can be hidden very easily in a normal setting. Despite that he can't turn them off, he does have to be especially careful with his senses since he can detect and be effected by temperature changes. However just because he has heightened senses, he can still be overtaken. Think of the dog that gets pepper up its nose or a cat that is startled from a loud noise. The same applies to Sheldon.

[Sheldon has his pistol in hand and has his sights fixed on a lone figure on the rooftop. Without taking his eyes off the target, he sets the device down and takes aim with his MP5 and silencer, his weapon of choice. He lifts the weapon and smirks.]

Oh you think you can run? Well, you've just made a huge mistake buddy.

[His voice is calm despite the high stress environment that he's in. A popper from a non lethal but highly distracting confetti novelty makes him turn his head quickly which causes him to lose sight of his prey and makes his heart jump. His weapon then trains quickly on the source who happens to be a child no older than 10 maybe 12 years of age.]

Geez, now look what you made me do. Sorry about that. Now will you please go away?

[The child runs off after having the fright of her life and gasps. Sheldon shakes his head and sighs.]

Now I gotta start all over again.

[He looks around again to see if he could spot his prey.]

Where did you go? [A pause] Well, that's just great.

[He fixes his senses on trying to locate his prey again only to find that the target is nowhere in sight.]

Crap. Now I gotta explain this. Okay, now to write my epitaph. Oh well. It was fun while it lasted, I guess.

[He puts his gun away in his shoulder holster and walks off, picking up his device in the process and turning off the feed.]

LOGS POST (THIRD PERSON) SAMPLE:

Upon arriving in City, Sheldon has had a hard time adjusting to his surroundings since he was used to Mexico. Being back stateside, or what seemed like stateside to him, he had to relearn its laws and how the system worked. He didn't mind it actually. It gave him something to do. He looked at his ID and his dogtags with a smirk. "So I'm Weaver. Funny, I don't like baskets but I guess originality is the name of the game and not some stupid spandex wearing crap that I see in the comic books. Ha, like hell I'll wear that anyway." He said with a smirk. His first stop was the bar. The best way to learn about a place and its inhabitants is to see them in a relaxed setting and listening to the gossip that surrounds the city no matter where it was.

He took his place at the bar and asked for a tequila and lime. It was a habit to him to order it since he was used to Mexico. It sort of tied him to his purpose and tied him to who he is. Finding a place that served puerco pibil was another matter entirely. Once he received his drink, he took a look around over his shoulder to watch a man talk to another. The discussion seemed rather dull in comparison to what he was used to. The two men talked about work and little else was said save for a complaint or two about their bosses. Sheldon laughed inwardly and took a sip of his tequila. He would have offered to off their boss but that would defeat the purpose and he wasn't some run of the mill hitman for hire no matter how it looked to outsiders. He was an agent first and foremost with a front as a food critic. Better to lay low and let events unfold before determining his course of action.

First thing was first, getting a job. He needed one of those and now it was time to find the best source to find one. "Hey, buddy. Can you direct me to the unemployment office?" He said casually. It was relatively clear that he was an import at this point to the natives that sat at the bar and the two men simply walked off without giving him much thought. "Yeah, thanks anyway," he said as he finished off his tequila and lime, paying his tab to leave the bar.

FINAL NOTES ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER:
Sheldon is known in his canon to wear some really bad disguises just to mess with people. They're so obvious that it's ridiculous.
