[RL: Nabooru, Apollo: Gaia: Chicken soup for the soul]

It didn't quite hit Nabooru until after she'd somewhat planned this entire outing that she didn't know who to look for. Sure, she and Apollo had spoken numerous times via the community and journals, but never in person. This would be the first time they met face-to-face ( Read more... )

Apollo arrived in Gaia, where the edge of the map Nabooru had sent him began and smiled, looking around his new surroundings with marked interest. The air here was still brisk; Spring had yet to truly come to life and banish foul Winter's breath, and yet, Apollo was in a good mood. It had been such a long time since she'd played, and yet it was all too familiar; Nabooru laughed silently when she realised that she had yet to play for Vincent. Perhaps soon.

There was a presence; it was too warm to be anyone else. She continued to play however, at least until a slight lull in the unnamed tune came - improvisation as always - and she nodded slowly, fingers still on the strings of her instrument as she glanced up with a small, melancholy smile.

The moment Nabooru looked up, Apollo was stunned by her beauty - having only known the Gerudo queen had not prepared the god for the noble demeanor of the woman, despite the melancholy painting her lovely features. He didn't speak for a moment, but managed to gather himself to approach, offering a hand.

"The pleasure is all mine, Nabooru." His fingers curled closed, opening again to reveal a beautiful desert blossom, which bloomed as he offered to the woman. "Were you playing a song from your world?"

A soft laugh; she set the lute down in her lap, her smile brightening a bit as Apollo offered the flower. "Thank you," she murmured, drawing her hood down in order to place the flower behind an ear. She'd opted to wear her hair down - Vincent had liked it that way - and Nabooru tucked a few stray locks behind the opposite ear.

"No, though I can if you'd like," she replied. "The song before...it was an improvisation. I play how I feel." She picked up the lute again as she spoke, and strummed a few notes before glancing up with a slight shrug. "I...haven't played in quite some time. Never did for him, either."
