I Cannot Watch Supernatural at the Gym

Trey bought me the first season on DVD for Christmas last year because I kept going on and on about how all my writer friends loved it and how I felt inadequate as a fan of the paranormal because I'd never seen an episode. I tried watching the first episode by myself, but OH MY GOD, it's scary!

Secret Life of an American Teenager. (ABC Family) I honestly don't watch a lot of TV. I know of the Gossip Girls. But I am of the opinion that shows on MTV are NOT real teens. I can tell you good YA books to read, however. :)

I've been on-and-off addicted to Gossip Girl. Haven't watched in a few seasons though. But it's not too bad at all. And Chuck... well I love Chuck!

Chuck isn't for teens, is it? I've heard lots of good things about it, but have never tried to watch it. I'll add that to my list of shows to look up. :-)

I was scared out of my mind those first few episodes of Supernatural, but later on in the show, you see a lot more of the boys than you do the spookies. In case you want to give it another go!

I might try my take-out-the-earbuds strategy. I mean, really, they probably won't continue doing the scary-in-the-daylight thing for too long, right? And I do so like the brothers. More of them would be great.

I kinda feel like they used the scary parts for shock value when the show first started. Later on, once people got to know Sam and Dean, the scary parts became a little less scary.

I'm SUPER jealous you have all those seasons to watch brand new! I ♥ Supernatural. :)

I agree - as the show progresses, it gets more into the interaction of the brothers, lore and there is less of the shock-factor scary.

This is the one show that I really wish Dave had gotten into with me early on. It aired just after we started dating and I watched the first episode in my apartment. Alone. I was totally freaked out! Supernatural is one of my all-time favorite shows. Soooo good.

As far as what to watch at the gym did you watch Gilmore Girls? Good, smart, funny and dramatic. Plus the women are so lovely it totally motivates you to keep working out. :p

It's not teen but Castle is a great show - if you don't already watch it? I admit I don't watch anything on TV - except Castle. I'm too much of a Mom to enjoy the teen shows anymore (they so scare me on a non-paranormal level) and I HATE all the CSI, SVU, NCIS junk - it's just gratuitous. I miss Alias, in the beginning it was fun! - sasha

I've watched Castle a few times, but it's not something I'm addicted, too. I guess if I really just needed something to fill the treadmill time, I could try it. I think I want something more dramatic and angst-ridden, though.

And I can't watch those police procedurals either. They just don't do anything for me.

*giggles* Supernatural is pretty freaky at times. I've been fortunate that I've watched it with the Irish Sailor so not quite as bad. Love that show though. Please don't hurt yourself watching it though.
