Titles and contracts and revisions, oh my!

  • jmeadows post yesterday made me realize that - oops! - I haven't let you guys in on a little secret. Okay. It's not a secret, but the title of my book has changed, too. It wasn't a surprise at all to me - author Sandy Blair has some hilarious stories about title changes - and I've been wondering since August if I would get to keep FISSURED as the title. Congrats on the new title! I think it tells a little more about the book, coming from someone who doesn't exactly know *what* your book blurb is.

Ooy revisions. I hope they run smoothly. ;)

Thanks! And, yep, the publisher thought it told more about the story than FISSURED did. :-)

I like it! I also like Fissured, but Shadow Reader has an extra edge. Congrats on signing the contract and good luck with the second round. I look forward to reading the final version. I'm sure a lot has changed since I read one of the earlier drafts.

It still feels like the same story, but yeah, it's changed A LOT. I've cut close to 30k since you read it, and added about 20k. :-)
